3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
Under normal use conditions, this product is stable.
May give various organic acids under action of extreme heat.
The product is very astringent and can cause gastric disorders in case of ingestion and skin irritation.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES

5. FIRE PRECAUTIONS/FIRE FIGHTING
All extinguisher types can be used.
The product may give off Sox, Cox, pyrogallol and gallic acid. As for every pulverulent powders, concentrated dust clouds may explode if there are ignition points.
Respiratory masks are recommended in order to take precautions against dusts and fumes.

10. STABILITY & REACTIVITY
Under normal use conditions, this product is stable. At high temperature, the product can decompose.
The product precipitates in presence of gelatine or metallic salts, such as iron, alumine.
11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
We have no figure on toxicological values actually.
The preparation is made mainly with natural extracts of plants and exotic wood. Analysis on similar tanning extract gives the following figures :
DL 50 oral on rat : 3,100 mg/Kg
No disastrous effect, no sensitisation to this product have been reported until today.
As every pulverulent product the powder may provoke respiratory problems by
inhalation, eyes irritation and gastric disorder in case of large ingestion.
12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Preparation made from natural tanning extracts. biodegradability is low. The product is very sensitive to metallic salts and is disposed of in waste waters under the form of mud by treatment with alumine sulphate. Although the effects on environment and waters are not disastrous, at the moment we have no figure on ecotoxicity.
13. WASTE DISPOSAL
Dispose of according to local regulations.
The product is eliminated of aqueous solutions by precipitation under the form of muds with alumine sulphate (formation of alumine tannate).
Elimination of residue and packing by incineration.

The product is not regulated.
