Product is not combustible and does not support burning.

May give off SO2 and SO3 under action of extreme heat.

In the event of fire, all extinguisher types can be used - select on the basis of the other materials present.

 

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE

Measures Collect into container and wash residue away with water which should be collected and precipitated by the addition of Sodium Carbonate or Sodium Hydroxide to pH 8.5. Dispose of residue to approved land fill sites.

Skin & Eye irritation : Research and statistical evidence indicates material is essentially non-hazardous, but of low toxicity which may cause irritation to skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

Precipitate as chromium hydroxide.
