3. CARACTERISTIQUES

Ecodye CPCF is a natural extract of Gambier also known under the name « Catechu ».

Due to its high percentage of insolubles, it is not advised to use Ecodye CPCF alone in the vegetable tanning process because it would give very dark shades.

The main characteristics is to form colouring compounds with metallic salts and it gives interesting dyeing yields.

Ecodye CPCF acts as a mordant in the dyeing of natural fibres.

4. APPLICATIONS

Mostly used for its tinctorial power, and specially for :

     - Wood dyeing

     - Textile dyeing

     - Retanning of leather

     - Astringent compound used in therapeutics
