HEMATINE CFMK is obtained from Logwood (Hematoxylon Campechianum) entirely chemically oxidized.

3. CHARACTERISTICS

HEMATINE CFMK is an oxidized extract, the colouring principle of which is Hematein and containing a shading agent.

As it is completely oxidized, the decomposition of glucosides is total. Due to this fact, on the skins dyed with HEMATINE CFMK, there is no risk of overoxidation since the tanner does not use anymore oxidizers such as Potassium Bichromate.

HEMATINE CFMK is a mordant dye. The chelates obtained with metallic salts are stable to acids, bases and ageing. HEMATINE CFMK gives black, deep and bright shades with iron sulphate, copper sulphate and Oxalate of Titanium and Potassium.

HEMATINE CFMK lakers the basic dyes. For this reason, it enhances the fixation and rub fastness of such dyes.

HEMATINE CFMK can be used with acid, direct and amphoteric dyes in any proportion.

It could be used in finishing mixture for hight value glazed kid leather.

4. APPLICATIONS

- All skins dyed in black when deepness, brightness, solidity are requested.

- If mordanting is made before dyeing, HEMATINE CFMK acts as a direct dye and fixes onto the leather surface.

- HEMATINE CFMK handles as a penetrating acid dye which, after acidification, needs the use of a mordant to fix the final shade and improves washing, dry and wet rubbing resistances.

- In mixture with appropriate synthetic dyes, HEMATINE CFMK allows to suppress the use of basic dye while keeping deepness and brightness of the black colour, what is a real advantage in the case of suede skins and aniline leather.
