Natural dye based on non-oxidised Hematine.

 

2. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICALS PROPERTIES

Aspect : powder

Color : blue

pH (10 % solution) : 5.6 +- 1.0

Odor : characteristic

Colour on leather : dark sea blue

 

3. CHARACTERISTICS

VEGDYE BMS rapidly penetrates and allows obtaining through-dyed leathers. However it is recommended to use SYNTEX APH in the proportion of 2 % on blue shaved weight or Sumac extract in order to facilitate dyestuff penetration and reduce time of dyeing.

VEGDYE BMS, due to its vegetable origin has some tanning power allowing self fixation and tightening of the grain.

VEGDYE BMS as well as Hematine based dyes has matchless glazing/burnishing properties.

 

4. APPLICATIONS

The percentage to be used is between 1 and 3 % on blue shaved weight according to leather force and depth of colour requested.

The dye could be dissolved in warm water. It is not necessary to fix with important amount of formic acid due to its tanning (self fixation) properties.

In order to strengthen top dyeing, synthetic dyestuff could be used.
