1. COMPOSITION

This is a natural wood extract in spraydried powder coming from Brazil Wood associated with synthetic dyes as shading agents.

2. PHYSICAL and CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

Aspect : spraydried powder

Colour : brownish red

pH (10 % solution) : 8.0 +- 1.0

Total solids : 92 %

3. CHARACTERISTICS

The natural extract of Red Wood is classified in the group of neoflavanoïd plants.

The natural dye is modified by a shading synthetic dye in order to assure to obtain always same colour and better uniformity.

In order to achieve a better light and washing fastness, we advise to use mordant such as alun, tin, copper or chromium.

4. APPLICATIONS

VEGDYE BRE is used in the same way as synthetic acid dyes either in chrome tanned or vegetable tanned leather.

- Neutralise at pH = 5

- Dyeing with 3 % on wet blue weight or 6 % on crust weight

- Fixing with acid formic to get a good exhaustion
