3. CHARACTERISTICS

VEGDYE FUSKC is obtained from Yellow Wood and Fiset Wood. Due to this fact, VEGDYE FUSKC contains various colouring principles, the most known being morol or morin, fusetol or fustin, myricetin.

All these dyes belong to the group of flavonol plants. The dye content depends on the age of wood, part of the trees and their location.

Fibres dyeing (animal, vegetable or synthetic) is obtained by addition of mordants. The tannins present under the form of heterosides also help mordant the fibres and obtain darker shades.

We will remind that Fiset Wood was also called Hungarian Yellow Wood and was employed for the tannage of fine skins to be dyed in yellow or red.

4. APPLICATIONS

Mainly in tannery and tawery as shading agent bringing the yellow or green yellow elements for :

- box calf or box side

- garment sheepskins

- pure aniline kids or goatskins

- bookbinding and lining leathers
