1. COMPOSITION

VEGDYE NO is a black dyestuff based on oxidized Hematine and contains a shading agent.

 

2. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICALS PROPERTIES

Aspect : powder

Colour : black

pH (10 % solution) : 6.5 +- 1.0

Colour on leather : bluish black

 

3. CHARACTERISTICS

VEGDYE NO gives a bluish black. Thanks to the natural tannins contained in Hematine, VEGDYE NO allows surface retannage without hardening the grain.

Penetration of the dye is average but its fixation onto the surface produces leather which are easy to be glazed and improves brightness of finishes.

On glazed kids, deep black colours can be obtained with VEGDYE NO because it avoids the grayish phenomenon between the top and the bottom of grains.

VEGDYE NO is also often used in the first finish layers.

 

4. APPLICATIONS

VEGDYE NO can be used for dyeing all types of leather in black but it is mainly recommended for :

- Glazed black leather

- Box Calf

- Glazed kids
