3. CHARACTERISTICS

VEGDYE NS is a natural dyestuff based on Haematine of good quality/price ratio for obtaining through-dyed leather.

As every natural compound, it is advantageous to disperse VEGDYE NS by addition of a dispersing agent such as Syntex APH, before dyeing.

VEGDYE NS is sensitive to concentrated mineral acids and it is advised not to use it at pH under 3.5. Exhaustion at pH 4.0 is very good and allows to reduce the percentage of formic acid used.

This dyestuff does not contain any ferrous/ferric salts or derived products prohibited by the regulations (such as benzidine,Fe, Pb, Cd and so on ...)

4. APPLICATIONS

VEGDYE NS is specially formulated for quick through-dyeing in black. Syntex APH speeds up dye penetration and reduces dyeing time even at temperature of 25°C.

We advise to process in very short bath or, preferably, no bath.

VEGDYE NS can be used in the proportion of 2 % on shaved blue weight after neutralisation of chrome leather.

In order to improve light fastness and strengthen the colour, it is recommended to add 0.3 to 0.5 % synthetic dye at the end of the dyeing operation, or add again 0.5 to 1 % VEGDYE NS after acidification.
