3. CHARACTERISTICS

DUVALTAN D541 is a filler based on dicyandiamine compound.

The affinity of DUVALTAN D541 is very strong on open leather structure such as bellies ,shoulders and loose part.

DUVALTAN D541 is stable from pH above 4 and could be used in mixture with mainly all conventional tanning products.

However precipitation could occur with pyrogallic vegetable extract (Sumac, Chestnut …) and we advise to use DUVALTAN D541 in a fresh bath when retanning with natural extract.

The percentages to be used are between 4 - 8 % for obtaining firm leather and 3 % in order to improve loose grained bovine/ovine leather or when crusting nubuck/suede leather.

4. APPLICATIONS

- Loose material.

- Retanning of nubuck and suede.

- Retanning of split and corrected grain
