3. CHARACTERISTICS

RETAN GP/SP is obtained from the leaves and young bushes of Uncaria Gambir.

In addition to the prevailing percentage of catechin tannins, it naturally contains glucose, salts, wax, oils and mineral substances.

This is the only extract the solubilized non-tannins of which are absorbed and fixed by the skins.

RETAN GP/SP gives fullness and suppleness to leather without shrinking it.

Used alone, it produces a spongy leather. So it is advised to use it in retanning in order to bring suppleness, mellow, roundness and increase tear resistance.

RETAN GP/SP also allows good fixation of finishing products and enhance burnishability.
