3. CHARACTERISTICS

RETAN GSK is a pure product coming from aqueous extraction of exotic wood.

It is used for retannage of chrome tanned leather in combination with other vegetable extracts. It brings fullness and dark colour.

In order to benefit from all the properties of RETAN GSK, it is advisable to dissolve it in water at 50°C rather than adding it directly in its powder form. As a matter of fact, RETAN GSK contains insoluble particles coming from the method of extraction and these particles are more easily absorbed by leather when the product is priorily dissolved.

RETAN GSK acts as mordant for fixing direct and basic dyes during dyeing operations as well in textile as tannery.
