1. COMPOSITION

Fine grounded powder obtained from Tara pods which is a pyrogallol tannin coming from Coulteria Tinctoria of Caesalpina Spinosa group.

pH (10 % solution) : 3.5 +- 1.0

3. CHARACTERISTICS

Tara pods give a solution which is very rich in tannic acids and specially gallic acid.

Tannage with RETAN TB gives tight, white leather with very good and unmatched resistance to light.

In combination with other vegetable extracts, the light resistance of the latter is noticeably improved and the colours obtained are clearer.

In retannage on chrome leather, RETAN TB gives uniform, strengthened, pastel shades.

The natural acidity of RETAN TB allows a good fixation of tannins. RETAN TB can be used for sole and equipment leathers, either in the last pits or during the bleaching and retannage of vegetable tanned leathers.

It is recommended to wash with clear water after tanning or retanning in order to eliminate insoluble parts.

4. APPLICATIONS

- White vegetable tannage

- Retannage of leathers and skins, aniline finished

- Retannage of goats and kids for upper leather

- Mixte retannage in order to improve light fastness
