3. CHARACTERISTICS

SYNTEX APH is an easily soluble powder even in cold water.

SYNTEX APH has good tanning power and dispersing effect for vegetable tannins. Its low ashes content is ideal for the pretannage of leathers, vegetable tanned.

The product acts smoothly on pelt skins giving a smooth grain and confering leather a pale and uniform colour.

SYNTEX APH is a neutralised salt which allows the de-acidification of chromed leathers.

SYNTEX APH is a very good auxiliary tannin for retannage good dispersion of vegetable tannins during retannage and penetrating agent for anionic dyes on chromed leathers

The ash content of SYNTEX APH is around 5 %. Consequently, tanners of sole leather and vegetable leather can meet the strict regulations they have to face for their analysis.

4. APPLICATIONS

- Pretannage of sole leathers for rapid tannage : 4 to 5 % SYNTEX APH (% on pelt weight)

- Pretannage of equipment leathers and veg tanned skins : 3 % SYNTEX APH (% on pelt weight)

- Neutralisation of leathers and skins, chrome tanned : 1 to 2 % SYNTEX APH (% on shaved weight)

- Auxiliary agent of dyeing : 2 % on shaved weight gives a good penetration of dyes when processing in short bath.
