3. CHARACTERISTICS

SYNTEX BD is a predominantly phenolic syntan.

Used alone as retanning agent, it gives a white, supple, well-filled leather with a fine grain and an average fastness to light.

Thanks to its basis of naphtalene sulphonic syntan, SYNTEX BD allows a better penetration of vegetable tannins. Consequently it is particularly recommended for the retannage of hides.

4. APPLICATIONS

SYNTEX BD is particularly suitable for :

- retannage of chrome leathers

- retannage of leathers in combination with vegetable tannins

- retannage of splits
