Synthetic tannin derivated from phenol and naphthalene condensate.

 

2. PHYSICAL and CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

Aspect : spraydried powder

Colour : pale beige

Charge : anionic

pH (10 % solution) : 7.7 +- 1.0

Total solids : @ 95 %

 

3. CHARACTERISTICS

Although SYNTEX KSN as tannin will be found interesting, it is mainly recommended for use as a neutralising, dispersing agent. The buffering effect is at higher ph than our SYNTEX KS.

SYNTEX KSN will disperse vegetable tannins and accelerate their penetration avoiding excessive sediment over the grain.

 

4. APPLICATIONS

- Neutralising agent before retanning of chrome leather ;

- Levelling and dispersing agent allowing a better distribution of vegetable tannins ;

- Acceleration of vegetable tannins penetration into leather.
