3. CHARACTERISTICS

SYNTEX LDC, due to its low astringency, gives smooth and tight grains and could be used as a dispersant of vegetable tan.

SYNTEX LDC allows better fixation of the absorbed but unfixed tannins.

SYNTEX LDC has the property of drying the outer parts of the leather thus facilitating buffing and fibre separation for obtaining good shearing.

4. APPLICATIONS

- Retannage of bovine skins for snuffing or paste drying finishes.

- Retannage of splits.

- At the end of the process - Crusting (about 1 % on shaved weight) for hide and skins destined to suede and nubuck.

- Dispersing of vegetable extract.
