3. CHARACTERISTICS

Hematoxylin HTX is a very pure natural dye. The cream coloured powder, with sugared taste, is dissolved in alcohol and acts as a coloured reagent :

                   at pH = 5.0               yellow

                   at pH = 6.4               purple red

Hematoxylin HTX is a mordant dye which is mainly used for specific applications.
